It's that time of year once again as the boys are back to make their way across the NHL before the season kicks off next Wednesday and today we're starting out west in the Pacific - likely the worst division last season. Will that trend continue?
After a strong year last year - can the Calgary Flames repeat as Division Champions? Can the young Canucks group take a step forward after some baffling off season moves? After huge pieces of the leadership were moved out of San Jose this summer, are they still a powerhouse? The cap gods finally came for Vegas over the last couple months - can they continue their unlikely solid run or will they finally take a step back? Will the addition of Kessel and other healthy bodies in Arizona finally lift the Yotes in to the playoffs? Ken Holland did what he could after arriving in Edmonton but was it enough to finally right the ship?
